POLICIES
Terms, Privacy & Policies
By using our website, registering for any course, or attending training at our locations, you agree to these Terms, Privacy & Policy.
1. Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of HighRise Safety’s website, training services, and learning materials. By registering for any course, you agree to comply with all rules and requirements described below.
2. Training Policies
HighRise Safety provides DOB-compliant and OSHA-authorized safety training. All students must follow instructor instructions, maintain professional behavior, and provide proper identification.
3. Attendance Requirements
To receive course credit, students must: Attend 100% of the class (NYC DOB requirement). Arrive on time — late arrival of more than 15 minutes may result in denial of entry. Stay for the full duration of the class (no early departures allowed). Complete all required training hours (make-up hours are not permitted unless specifically approved by HighRise Safety). Understand that training hours cannot be waived or reduced under any circumstances. Present a valid government-issued ID for verification.
4. Missed Classes Policy
HighRise Safety follows all OSHA and NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) requirements. Students must complete 100% of the required training hours to receive any certificate, OSHA card, or SST card. Training hours cannot be waived, reduced, or credited under any circumstances. Students must attend and complete 100% of all required hours for each course. If a student misses any portion of a class for any reason (including transportation delays, weather, work schedule changes, personal or family matters, or city events such as marathons), the missed time will not count toward course completion. No certificate, OSHA card, or SST card will be issued until all required hours and course components have been fully completed. If a student misses part or all of a class session, the absence is the responsibility of the student. HighRise Safety is not responsible for changes in a student’s work schedule, transportation disruptions, personal emergencies, or any other conflicts. Tuition for missed classes is non-refundable. Make-up classes are not guaranteed and may not be available. In rare and exceptional cases, HighRise Safety may, at its sole discretion, offer a make-up option if: – Space is available in another scheduled class, and – Scheduling and instructor capacity allow it. HighRise Safety may request documentation for emergency-related absences. Additional administrative or scheduling fees may apply for any approved make-up. If no suitable make-up option is available or approved, the student must re-enroll and repurchase the course to complete the required hours. If a make-up option is approved, all missed hours must be completed within 6 months of the original course start date. After this period, the student may be required to restart and repay for the full course from the beginning.
5. General Cancellation & Reschedule Policy
All sales are final. No refunds are issued under any circumstances. Requests to reschedule must be submitted at least 5 business days before the scheduled class date. When eligible, students may receive course credit to reschedule into a future class, subject to availability and current pricing. If a class has fewer than 10 registered students, HighRise Safety may cancel or reschedule the class. In such cases, students will be offered a new date or course credit. Failure to attend a class without proper notice is considered a no-show and may result in the loss of tuition and any rescheduling options.
6. Urgent Need for a Card
An urgent need for a card (for example, to start a job) does not allow HighRise Safety to shorten, waive, or modify any mandatory training hours. HighRise Safety will make reasonable efforts to inform students of the next available training dates; however, we cannot guarantee immediate seat availability or expedited processing.
7. Prohibited Website Actions

HighRise Safety reserves the right to update, edit, or remove course listings at any time, including changes to dates, pricing, course descriptions, and instructors. We make reasonable efforts to keep all information accurate and current, but occasional errors may occur. If a material error affects a student’s registration, we will work with the student to find a reasonable solution, such as rescheduling.
