What Is the SST Worker Card?
The SST Worker Card verifies that a construction worker has completed the required 40 hours of safety training to legally work on applicable NYC job sites.
Without a valid SST card, workers may be denied site access.
40-Hour SST Worker Requirement (Initial Card)
To obtain an SST Worker Card, individuals must complete a total of 40 hours of DOB-approved safety training, which typically includes:

OSHA 30-Hour Outreach Training (Construction)

10 hours of additional DOB-approved SST courses
Total required training: 40 hours
Training must be completed through a DOB-approved course provider.
