Under Local Law 196, all NYC Site Safety Training (SST) cards are valid for 5 years from the date of issuance.

To renew your SST Worker card:

• Complete 8 hours of SST refresher training

• Refresher must be taken within 1 year before card expiration

• Renewal must be processed before the expiration date

If Your Worker SST Card Expires

If your card expires, it cannot be renewed.
You must complete the full 40-hour SST training requirement again to receive a new card.
