How the NYC Worker Wallet Works

The NYC Worker Wallet is an official worker card that securely stores multiple construction-related certifications in one place. It is issued by Registered Course Providers after successful completion of approved worker training courses. The card can be scanned and verified using the Training Connect App, allowing quick confirmation of a worker’s qualifications on NYC construction sites.
The Worker Wallet is used as proof of required worker training and qualifications for specific construction activities, including scaffolds, rigging, mast climbers, and other regulated equipment.
Beginning July 1, 2025, the Worker Wallet becomes the only worker card accepted on NYC construction sites, replacing multiple individual worker cards.

Note: The Worker Wallet does not replace the Site Safety Training (SST) card.
The Worker Wallet is required for NYC construction workers who perform or supervise regulated work, including:

Scaffold users, installers, removers, and supervisors

Rigging workers and rigging supervisors

Mast climber and tower crane personnel

Periodic gas piping inspectors

Anyone working on NYC construction sites who previously needed individual worker cards will now need a Worker Wallet to remain compliant.

These certifications are stored together in one Worker Wallet Card and can be scanned and verified using the Training Connect App on NYC job sites.

How the NYC Worker Wallet Works

Order your Worker Wallet Card for $50 after course completion.

1. Complete required NYC DOB–approved training

Enroll in and successfully complete any required worker certification courses with a Registered NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) Course Provider.

2. Receive and order your Worker Wallet Card

After course completion, order your official NYC Worker Wallet Card for $50, issued through the Training Connect platform.

3. Download the Training Connect App

Install the Training Connect Application from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to access and manage your worker credentials.

4. Verify credentials on NYC job sites

Present your Worker Wallet Card for on-site scanning and verification, allowing supervisors and inspectors to confirm your qualifications in real time.
