    Hazard Communication Training. Who Is This Training For?

    OSHA-Required Training for Employees Working With Hazardous Chemicals.

    Hazard Communication Training is an OSHA-required program for employees who work with or may be exposed to hazardous chemicals in the workplace.

    If your business uses cleaning products, paints, fuels, maintenance, or industrial chemicals, this training is mandatory under OSHA regulations.

    Employers are responsible for ensuring that employees understand chemical hazards, labels, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and proper safety procedures before exposure occurs.


    Who Is Hazard Communication Training For?

    This training is designed specifically for businesses whose employees work with or around hazardous chemicals, including:

    • Construction companies

    • Contractors & subcontractors

    • Maintenance & facilities teams

    • Warehouses & manufacturing sites

    • Commercial buildings, schools & healthcare facilities


    Training is provided in a group format only.

    Individual enrollment is not available.


    What Are Considered Hazardous Chemicals?

    Hazardous chemicals vary by industry, but OSHA requirements apply to all workplaces where chemicals are present.


    Cleaning Chemicals

    Common in: commercial buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, offices

    Examples: disinfectants, degreasers, solvents


    Paints & Coatings

    Common in: construction, renovation, manufacturing

    Examples: paints, thinners, adhesives


    Fuels & Flammable Chemicals

    Common in: construction, transportation, maintenance

    Examples: gasoline, diesel, propane


    Maintenance Chemicals

    Common in: facilities management, industrial maintenance

    Examples: lubricants, oils, coolants


    Industrial Chemicals

    Common in: warehouses, manufacturing, industrial sites

    Examples: acids, corrosives, industrial cleaners

    If your workplace uses any of these products, Hazard Communication Training is required by OSHA.


    OSHA Hazard Communication Requirement

    Under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200), employers must ensure that employees:

    • Are informed about hazardous chemicals in the workplace

    • Understand chemical labels and pictograms

    • Know how to read Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

    • Understand exposure risks and protective measures


    Training must be provided before exposure and whenever new chemical hazards are introduced.
