SST-307 – 8-Hour Fall Prevention

The SST 8-Hour Fall Prevention is a NYC Department of Buildings (DOB)–prescribed safety training course required for construction workers working on elevated job sites.

Falls are the leading cause of serious injuries and fatalities in construction. This course focuses on recognizing fall hazards, using proper fall protection systems, and following safe work practices to prevent accidents on NYC construction sites.

The training provides SST credit only and does not issue an SST card by itself.

It must be combined with other required safety training, such as OSHA 30, to qualify for an NYC SST Worker or Supervisor Card, in accordance with NYC DOB Local Law 196.
